VICTOR REYES

b. 1978

Victor Reyes (b. 1978) is a San Francisco-based contemporary artist with a three-decade commercial practice rooted in the Mission District. Since arriving from Los Angeles in 1998, Reyes has built one of the Bay Area's most distinctive bodies of work — spanning studio paintings, large-scale murals, and site-specific corporate installations shown internationally.

His process layers opaque and translucent pigments through screens and molds, building surfaces where hard-edge structure and gestural spontaneity compete for attention. The paintings move between control and chance, creating depth that shifts as you stand with them. It's a visual language developed through thirty years of daily studio practice and an unflinching belief that the acceptance of failure is what keeps art alive.

Reyes has exhibited across the United States, Europe, and Asia — including presentations at Beyond the Streets (New York and Los Angeles), Modernism Gallery (San Francisco), Jonathan LeVine Projects (New York), and Mini Galerie (Amsterdam). His corporate portfolio includes projects for Apple, Adobe, Anthropic, Google, HBO, Meta, LinkedIn, Nike, Salesforce, SFO, and Louis Vuitton, among others.

Reyes operates as an independent commercial artist — working directly with art consultants, interior designers, and corporate art programs rather than through gallery representation. His studio is open for commissions, consultant inquiries, and studio visits by appointment.

He lives with his wife and children, and works in San Francisco.
